Yesterday I stopped by the Midtown Scholar Bookstore here in Harrisburg. R.O. Kwon ("The Incendiaries") held a book signing for the paperback release of her debut novel. She'd written it almost every day for 10 years, producing what became a critical acclaim.
Talk about persistence. Really.
"Have you been to this bookstore before?" she asked.
Sleep deprived, I never answered her question -- not directly. "Actually, I just moved back to the area...."
I was at the bookstore just a day earlier, getting a copy of her book and a much-needed coffee. I've looked forward to reading The Incendiaries since hearing about it several months ago.
